___________________Breeding Policy____________________
(To insure understanding between breeder and mare owner)

1. $450 breeding fee to mares only. Jennet's by private contract.

2.  $450 fee paid in full in advance of breeding when the mare arrives at the farm.

3.  Mare must have a (#1) - valid coggins test, (#2) - negative culture and be in excellent health.

4.  Mare Care is $7.00 per day without a colt and $10.00 per day with colt (wet), with full payment before mare leaves the farm.

5.  If the mare does not become pregnant with the first breeding we offer a return breeding to the same mare, during the same breeding season, at no additional breeding charge. The return breeding does not go over to the next breeding season nor can it be applied to another mare. (Subject to LVF discretion) Additional mare care $7.00 per day without a colt and $10.00 per day with colt (wet).

6.  Emergency veterinary care billed to the owner of the mare. Attempt to reach the owner of the mare in advance of emergency vet treatment if possible. LVF will take every necessary precaution to ensure the safety of mare and foal.

7. Shipped semen charges are as follows: $450 breeding fee, plus a $200 collection fee and the overnight shipping costs (approximately $100). If mare does not become pregnant with the first shipment we will need a letter from your Veterinarian stating that the mare is not pregnant before additional semen will be sent. An additional collection fee of $230, plus all shipping charges will apply if additional semen is required. Mare owner is responsible for returning the Equitainer to our Veterinarian within 2 days of receiving shipment via overnight service at your expense and we ask that insure it for a value of $300. If container is not returned an additional fee of $300 will be charged. All fees must be paid in advance.

The mare owner is to notify us two weeks prior to the planned breeding date and again within 48 hours before the transported semen is to be shipped.
